一年容易又中秋 - “Yet another year, it is Mid-Autumn again”. A famous Chinese saying refers to this unique festive occasion approaching.
Mid-Autumn always has a special meaning to me. As a kid, it is when we are “legally” allowed to stay up really late. My parents will invite our relatives to come and celebrate. After dinner with my sister, our cousins would get to go out with our lanterns, roaming around the neighbourhood streets and parks, eating countless mooncakes meeting new friends. Back in the day, there was an “unspoken tradition” when a box of mooncakes was finished, we would take its metal container and “experiment” with different ways to light candles with fire (of course under the supervision of adults 😁 ) - “ Wow… Wah…. Hahaha…” The streets and parks are filled with laughter and a festive vibe.
Every Mid-Autumn Festive is a unique night filled with warmth, love and joy - all under the best moon of the year.
I am proud to be involved two years in a row, partnering with Starbucks Hong Kong to design and produce the mid-autumn mooncake special packaging, This year it takes the form of a revolving lantern, combining the best from the west and the east with a story - Our Siren takes on her journey from Earth’s oceans to meet new jade rabbit friends on the moon. She brings Starbucks coffee (western) which the jade rabbits fuse into their (eastern) mooncakes, creating something refreshingly modern and deliciously fun.
This mid-autumn, bring home some delicious mooncakes to spread love and joy among your loved ones.
Thanks
